      Oak Skirting Boards

      What lengths will you supply?

      Our skirting boards are supplied in random lengths from 1.8m up to 3.5m long and double end trimmed (free from end split)

      What is the longest length available?

      The longest lengths we stock and can deliver is 3.5m (12ft long). Our standard

      Can I specify the lengths I need for my project?

      We will do our best to accommodate specific lengths request but will have to build in a waste element into the quote. Please email your enquiry to sales@classicoak.co.uk

      Can I get a sample?

      We can send out a sample for you on a prompt courier service.

      What size is the sample?

      Samples are between 100mm to 150mm long.

      Is the Oak kiln dried?

      All our sustainable hardwoods are kiln dried to 10-12% moisture content and suitable for interior use.

      You don’t have the size I want listed on your website, can I order a custom size?

      Please email sales@classicoak.co.uk with your requirements. As long as it falls within the size parameters of what we have in stock and what we can machine then we can prepare a quotation for you.

      How much should I order?

      Once you have measured the area (lengths of the walls) you need and allow for cutting & fitting we recommend you order 10% more than you need to complete the job. Please select the size, profile and quantity (meters) that you need. The selling price/unit of sale is per lineal meter run.

      Why do you have minimum quantity requirement?

      All our products are custom made to order so that the Oak mouldings are supplied and delivered clean and new and within very narrow tolerances and to maintain a very competitive price point in terms of delivery.

      Oak Architrave Sets

      What comes in a single Architrave set?

      One standard set or architrave will be made up of 3 pieces; two pieces at minimum 2.1m long for the sides of a door frame and one piece at minimum 1m long for the top of the door frame. One set will cover one side of one standard door frame/door opening.

      What comes in a double Architrave set?

      One double set or Architrave will be made up of 3 pieces; two pieces at minimum 2.1m long for the sides of a door frame and one piece at minimum 2m+ long for the top of the double door frame. One set will cover 1 side of one double door frame/French door opening.

      Do you supply other sizes of architrave?

      We can manufacture other sizes in between the standard sizes listed on our website. Please contact us as sizes vary depending on the pattern/profile you need.

      Oak Door Linings

      How do I measure the size of the door lining or which size should I order?

      Take the measurement of the thickness of the wall in mm (plaster to plaster measurement). For example if the thickness of the wall is 135mm then you will need to selects a 20x135mm door lining set.

      What comes in a single set door linings?

      One standard door lining set will be made up of 3 pieces; two pieces at 2.1m long for the sides of a door frame and one piece at 1m long for the top of the door frame plus a set of loose door stops at 15x30mm in a choice for two different profiles.

      Can you supply fire rated door linings?

      You will need to fit Intumescent strips to the door or lining, also its recommended you check the building regulations with your local authority.

      Do you supply rebated door linings/door frames?

      We can manufacture thicker door linings with a 35mm or 40mm rebate. Please contact us for a quote.

      Delivery

      How will me order be delivered?

      Depending on the size and quantity of your order we will use either a reliable commercial courier with tracking or a van or lorry/Pallet delivery company.

      How quickly will my order be delivered?

      We offer a nationwide delivery service and orders are usually delivered within 2-3 working days. If you need an express delivery please send us an email.

      Do you deliver to the Isle of Man, Ise of White, Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland?

      We can offer a delivery service to all parts of the UK. There will be an extra delivery charges to these destinations and the service is usually an additional 3-5 working days.

      Do you deliver at weekends?

      We can arrange a Saturday delivery. We use a business working day courier company and they make an additional charge for a Saturday delivery. Please email your enquiry to sales@classicoak.co.uk if you need a Saturday delivery.

      Can I collect my order?

      Yes we offer a click & collect service. Please leave a note/message with your order and we can have it ready for collection (usually within 24hrs to 48hrs). Our hours of business are Monday to Thursday – 8am to 4.30pm, Friday – 8am to 2pm and Saturday morning by arrangement only.

      Can I change the delivery address.

      Please leave a note/message with your order if you would like it to be delivered to a different address.

      Can I postpone delivery to a later date or specified day?

      Please leave a note/message with your order if you would like it to be delivered on a specific day.

      Do you offer delivery tracking?

      We will add the tracking information to your order when it’s dispatched. Please make sure we have a mobile number and a current email address with your order so that a text message and email can be sent by the courier company. Your tracking information will also be added to the PayPal platform so you can check the progress of your order.

      General

      What does PAR mean?

      PAR is an abbreviation of planned all round to a smooth finish as opposed to being rough sawn timber.

      What does a nominal size and finished size mean?

      The nominal size is the dimension of the sawn timber piece before it has been machined to a smooth finished size. For example, a piece of sawn 1×6” (25.4mm x 152.4mm) would be planned four sides to finish at 20mm thick and 145mm wide to achieve a finished size PAR

      Do you offer a fitting service?

      As a manufacturer we supply only and don’t offer a fitting service.

      Do you have any certification?

      We have both FSC and PEFC Certificates

      What is the widest section of planned timber that you can produce?

      We can machine up to 220mm wide PAR and up to 300mm with fine sawn 2 edges.
